Attention is the whole craft. Point it at a paragraph and you get a story; point it at a spreadsheet and you get a plan someone can actually live inside; point it at a frightened dog and you get a home. The object changes. The discipline doesn't.

So publishing, software, and a rescue aren't three careers sharing a name. They're one instinct — notice what needs care, then stay long enough to give it — walked out over different ground.
